Trey Day | 11.17

My children LOVE to have their picture taken. They are thrilled that I am a camera-wielding life-enthusiast set on documenting even our most mundane moments. Trey is especially eager to pose and ALWAYS SMILES for me.

It's Trey Day today so I opened up my photos with the intent of finding something slightly different than this, but when I saw this, I couldn't resist. I miss this kid SO MUCH. He isn't coming home for Thanksgiving and I'm SAD about that, but I'm also happy for him, because he's going with his roommate, Cam, to Cam's grandma's house, In Idaho Falls (which is only 30 minutes away instead of 8 hours!) Cam's grandma is AWESOME and they will have a great time.

Back in the day, when I was in college, I wasn't ever able to go home for Thanksgiving and looking back I'm so grateful for this. I often spent holidays with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Ellen's family (Missy, Jamie, Brad, Natalie and Kristen) and because of this I now have a better relationship with those cousins and have great memories that I cherish. I also spent a holiday or two with roommates' families and while you always miss your own family, it's enriching to see how other people celebrate. Trey will be home in just under a month for Christmas, so I'll be waiting with my camera. 📸  😉  Wink!
