Connected Stories 🍉 Traditions
So I filmed this video at the end of last summer—for the Close To My Heart blog. Actually, I made two versions. The one I sent them and this one, which is a tad longer. I finally decided to finish this one up and share it here. Here’s why: Because for years I had a dream of designing cool products to help people tell stories, but I didn’t believe I could. I told myself, “I’m not a designer.” I told myself, “I’m a blogger and a teacher and more of an editorial-type person.” BUT, these ideas started coming to me and about the same time, my friend, Jill—from Close To My Heart—reached out to see if I would be available to speak at an upcoming convention. I said, “Yes, but can I talk to you about something else?”
I’ve probably told this story before, but stories like this should be told and retold. I had a dream and now, because I opened my mouth and decided it was OK to be and feel vulnerable, I’m seeing these products come to life and thousands of amazing CTMH consultants are helping me share them with the world—or at least 4 countries in the world, ha! 👍🏻
If you’ve been reading my blog long, then you know … I LOVE connections. I LOVE the big picture behind our memories, the reasons WHY we keep doing the things we do, sometimes for generations. I LOVE discovering and documenting these stories and I want to help YOU do the same. It’s SO satisfying to do so.
WATCH the video and then think of some everyday topic that you could build a story around and then get curious about the connections inside that story. I promise, they’re there! And, just for the record, this is NOT the kind of scrapbooking you can be behind on. Isn’t that AWESOME? You can’t be behind when you craft a story like this—you just can’t. The ONLY thing you can be is SO Far Ahead!
