The American Idea

When I realized I would be publishing an podcast episode on July 4th, I knew I had to prepare something about America—it’s Independence Day after all. If you’re like me—and you live here in the U.S.—then you love this country, but you also worry about our current state of affairs and especially the very unsettling divisiveness that is all things political. I’ve been asking myself for a while now what I am to do and how I can think and feel more optimistically about America today. In this episode I share my thoughts and a few of my actions that are making a difference. I would love (as always) to hear your thoughts. You can leave me a comment below or send me a message using the orange SpeakPipe button on the sidebar!

Here’s proof that I have in fact memorized The Gettysburg Address, given by Abraham Lincoln on Thursday, November 19th, 1863 🇺🇸

Wishing YOU a wonderful 4th of July—wherever you are!

This is the special issue that I mention purchasing on the newsstand. I have really enjoyed reading it.

My life coach is Jody Moore. I’ve been subscribed to her Be Bold membership for just over a year and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

You can find the following songs that I used in this episode in Apple Music.

1. America the Beautiful by Ray Charles

2. Battle Hymn of the Republic (music only) by NosPopulus
3. God Bless America by US Air Force Heritage of America Band
